Continuous Professional Development Will Help You “Rise Up”

When I was a little girl, every September, my parents dragged us out of bed to go to the “Autumn Aloft” hot air balloon festival in Park City, UT. With jackets zipped over the jammies, we nibbled our pop tarts and drove up the canyon. See, our trip wasn’t just about seeing hot air balloons in the sky, it was the whole experience, start to finish. How does one get a giant balloon in the air? Well, even at eight years…

Web Developer and Front End Engineer at JamboJon

Raised in the Colorado Rockies, Ashley Zufelt learned adventuring early and enjoys time outdoors. Her life’s journey has taken her from one mountain ridge to another. The Blue Ridge mountains, near Atlanta, GA, now provide the space and solitude for her exploration.

A Web Developer’s Journey

She joins the team, having reached two Bachelor's degree summits, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Technologies & Web Development and Bachelor of Science in Photojournalism & Media Communications from BYU-Idaho and Metropolitan State University of Denver (respectively). She's outfitted with modern web development skills, like: building and deploying new websites as well as providing ongoing website maintenance. She's also leveled up her development skill by pairing it with her background in photography and communication media.  Combining these two disciplines, Ashley skillfully bridges gaps between design and technical intricacies of programming websites. She showcases this by emphasizing accessibility, adhering to web developer accessibility standards and implementing performance best practices.  All of which offer enhanced website user experiences on all types of devices. Ultimately she has a knack for breathing digital life into visually stunning web designs, establishing her as a pivotal navigator within the JamboJon crew.

Reaching the Summit

Despite the intricate nature of being a web developer, she thrives on finding creative solutions and turning potential roadblocks into opportunities for growth. Among Ashley's quirks is a peculiar fondness for debugging code, an activity that might seem mundane to most. This natural problem-solving prowess suits her current role managing the JamboJon Help Desk. If you have a question, Ashley will find you an answer!

That’s Not All

You might now realize it, but this Southern gal loves riding her lawn mower, DIYing, photography, T-shirt making, drone flying, baking, and geo-caching. You can spot her on bizarre adventures with her family. Her infectious humor brightens any conversation and balances the seriousness of our team meetings. We love our Ashley!

You can connect with Ashley at JamboJon's support desk, or by clicking this button. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sarah Johnson Speaking at networking event

On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Park City, UT was really showing off! The mountains were so green from a wet summer, and the ginormous white clouds were set against a blue bird sky. It was so pretty!

The Women's Inspired Network provides opportunities for business development, personal development and creativity while building friendships. There were over 20 business women in the audience, from all industries including wealth management, real estate, retail, marketing and more! Stories were the foundation to helping teach complicated marketing principles. We learned and then we did. We learned and then we did. At every step, we shared with the women in the room the main “ahas.” The women in the room walked away with a very clear understanding of what it takes to succeed, with simple tools to take action. One participant wrote:

"Sarah, Thank you so much for your insights at the WIN Lunch & Learn yesterday! I truly appreciated everything I learned and found your delivery style both engaging and informative.

I'm excited about implementing my new Marketing Plan and Calendar, and I owe it to your fantastic guidance. I'll definitely keep you in mind for future referrals. You were fabulous!

Thanks again for your time and expertise.” - Lynn Lee, Principal Broker/Owner

Our JamboJon team stretches across the United States, into four different time zones. While we see each others’ faces regularly, it’s a rare treat to meet in person. On Saturday, August 24, our crew finally came together for a one-day workshopping event and team party.

Some of our Takeaways:

  • Fear doesn’t have to hold you back. You can allow it to take the steering wheel, or simply invite it along for the ride.
  • Our team has great ideas! One idea builds on another and we can collaborate on a game plan that turns out better than anyone could have done on their own.
  • You (and ONLY you) are in charge of the ecosystem of happiness in your life. It’s a tricky balance between what you can and can’t control.
  • Walk into a room with confidence! Even if you feel completely out of place. If you’re the “lobster,” own it!
  • Hanging out in person fosters a more personal friendship that doesn’t always happen online.
  • It’s not just the president of a company with a vested interest in how things work. Your employees can contribute keen insights and a vision into how to move the business forward.

FAQ

Setting up and using email with your domain is a crucial aspect of establishing a professional online presence. We recommend utilizing KnownHost for hosting and domain registry. To initiate the process, sign up for hosting with KnownHost. which includes an exclusive 50% off on your first billed amount.

Once your hosting is secured, KnownHost typically provides straightforward instructions for setting up and using email accounts associated with your domain. If you encounter any challenges or require assistance throughout the process, we're more than happy to schedule a Zoom call to guide you. Ensuring control over your hosting and domain ensures not only a smooth email setup but also ownership and accessibility for future needs.

If KnownHost doesn't align with your preferences, you can still set up and use email with your domain using alternative hosting and domain registry providers. While our recommendation is based on a streamlined process and a special offer, we understand the importance of choice. Feel free to choose a hosting provider that suits your needs, and we'll be happy to provide guidance on setting up and using email with your domain, regardless of the hosting service you opt for. If you want to use Office 365 or Google Workspace, you can set up the accounts on those platforms and have your web master set up an MX Record on your hosting account.
