A Lesson in Orienteering by Fox School of Wine
I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For
Imagine pulling out your map and compass, knowing exactly where you are and where you are headed. You check (and recheck) your location, match the terrain in front of you, and whistle with every step until you reach your destination. Not every website user enjoys that same trouble-free navigation. In fact, you might get lost easily. How do you move backwards or forwards through messy website menus to find what you’re looking for?
Fox School of Wine, led by the passionate and knowledgeable, “Professor Kirsten,” is a Park City-based business that specializes in corporate team-building events and educational wine experiences. Kirsten has a lot to offer. She teaches you how to pair, shop for, and store wine, offers wine cellar analysis, and hosts engaging wine-tasting events. However, despite the exceptional services, her website visitors got confused in a tangle of scattered pages, unclear messaging, and a less-than-intuitive online experience. Navigating her website was like trying to orienteer without a compass. Overwhelmed, and without a clear path, you might just give up.
The Clearer, the Better
When Fox School of Wine approached Jambojon, we knew we needed to reorganize her site, refine the messaging, and create a more positive user experience. JamboJon guided Kirsten to restructure her content into readable, understandable, and digestible pieces. We combined all group and individual events and categorized them, making them easy to find. We eliminated the random, mixed-up pages, and made clear what to expect at each event. We combined all individual classes and equipped Kirsten with the tools and strategies she needed to achieve her goals. When Fox School of Wine was able to clarify the direction for their website and how to navigate it, YOU now know exactly where to go.
- Moved her site from Weebly to WordPress, and kept past blog content intact.
- Reorganized the site structure and content.
- Clarified messaging and provided direct calls to action.
